Founded by photographer JoseF Costa (b.1964, Lisbon), misaki studio explores portraiture and landscape as meditative encounters — where light, silence, and impermanence reveal traces of the real.

Photography entered Jose’s life not in youth, but at a later, more reflective stage — a quiet rediscovery of self through light, silence, and the art of seeing. In returning to study at university, he wasn’t pursuing technique alone, but seeking joy, presence, and awe. That search continues — frame by frame.

Influenced by Japanese aesthetics and poetic tradition, the work seeks not to describe, but to evoke — making space for the viewer to pause, to dwell, to sense what often escapes language. Each image, like a breath held between moments, carries the weight of attention and the grace of simplicity.

This is not a portfolio, but a place of intimacy and reverence. A studio in the truest sense: a contemplative space for creation, memory, and presence.
